MaxG offers patients superior closure of the larger, deeper facial vessels. The MaxG’s Dynamic Spectrum Shifting boosts the concentration of near-infrared light with longer pulse widths which provides more uniform heating across the entire diameter of the larger vessels.
In contrast to non-optimized pulsed light, the MaxG handpiece offers:
Areas of Concern:
This intense pulsed light system releases highly controlled light energy into areas of skin imperfection. Once these light pulses are absorbed by the skin, there is heat generated, which destroys melanin, the black to brown pigment responsible for skin hyperpigmentation.
IPL Photofacial is a skin revitalization treatment that penetrates the dermis through the throb of the light. This stage can cause tightness of the vessels and collagen deeply into the skin. Patients have reported of a tiny bit to no uneasiness with the treatment. The procedure will only take about utmost to thirty minutes for one session. It could probably take more time which will depend on the size that you want to be treated. However, it will never be a whole day session.
It is a non-invasive treatment, so there is no recuperating period. Anesthesia is not needed and only mild to no side effects. It is normal to experience swelling and redness, but these side effects are minimal and will subside on their own. Multiple treatments might be needed to get a perfect result. Treatment sessions can go up to five and three weeks apart per every session.
You will be provided with a protective eyewear that protects your eyes from the throbbing light. A cold gel might be applied topically to reduce discomfort. Typically, you will experience a warm feeling in the entire treatment which is the result of the light waves.
Specialized pulse of optimized light is used to target brown spots, sun damage and vessels without harming the surrounding skin. As the headpiece glides over the area being treated, most people feel only a slight “snap” like a rubber band followed by the warmth of your skin.
You will also feel cooling on your skin as the handpiece glides over the treatment area to help in providing a comfortable session. Once these targets absorb the energy, they are destroyed and will slowly disappear through your body’s natural healing process.
You will see your brown spots turn darker in color and flake off over the next few weeks. You may also see an immediate improvement in your vessels with a continued clearance over the next few weeks.
A protective eyewear will be given to you before the treatment as mentioned earlier. A brief throbbing pulse that is specialized with the IPL hand piece will be administered to the targeted area after a cool gel is applied. It is a comfortable treatment that doesn’t anesthetic and is normally completed within an hour for one session. You might return for additional treatments, but it will never be long, and there should be a sufficient gap of healing between sessions.
There are only minor side effects reported as stated earlier. You will be advised to stay out of the sun and apply a lot of sunblocks to protect the ideal outcome.
Depending on the condition being treated, 1-3 treatment sessions are recommended for desired results. Sessions range anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on the size and condition of a treatment area. Treatment sessions are scheduled 3-4 weeks apart. Immediately following a treatment session, you can resume to regular activities.
Immediately after the treatment, it is common to feel a mild sunburn-like sensation around the treatment site, which typically lasts 2-24 hours. Redness or swelling may accompany this and usually resolves in 2-3 days. We will discuss any other possible side effects and the necessary post-treatment care with you during the consultation.
Anyone can benefit from the IPL treatment. It is a gentle procedure for all types of skins. The IPL doesn’t harm the outer layer of the skin as the laser light is concentrated on the underneath skin layers. Other treatments may be necessary to get a perfect result. The sessions will depend on the size of the targeted areas and what has been agreed on the consultation day.
